| Royal Arches are beautiful glacier cut arcs of granite, on the face of the north canyon walls. The thickness of the overhang varies from 10 to 80 feet. The vertical wall of Washington Column rises 1,952 feet, and North Dome towers 3,571 feet, above the floor of the valley. |
