Franklin D. Roosevelt Grave & Monument, National Historic Site

| A small garden northeast of the home, almost completely surrounded by century-old hemlock hedge, was chosen by Franklin D. Roosevelt as his burial place. Here, on April 15th 1945, he was laid to rest in the southern section of a large rectangular grass plot with a border of perennial flowers. On November 10th 1962, Eleanor Roosevelt was laid to rest next to her husband. |
