Additional Details:
The front depicts an older man, possibly a veteran, and a younger soldier standing before a large American flag. A French tricolor flag and a medal with an eagle and the date MDCCLXXVI (1776) are on the left. A wreath lies on the ground, and a house is visible in the background. The text reads, "FILII VETERANORUM" and "THERE HONOR COMES A PILGRIM GRAY, TO BLESS THE TURF THAT WRAPS THEIR CLAY."
