| This reconstruction of a Mogollon pithouse village as it probably looked about 300 B.C., is based on data secured at the Su site, western New Mexico, by archaeological expeditions from Chicago Natural History Museum. It is generally recognized that the Mogollon culture is rooted in a very old one, the Desert culture, that dates from about 10,000 years ago. |
