Operating since 1938, the Cannon Mountain Tramway was the first passenger tramway on the North American Continent. The new 80 passenger tram cars were placed in service in 1980. The Base Station, Eagle Cliff and a snowcapped Mt. Lafayette combine to create a spectacular alpine scene.
