| The battleship U.S.S. Massachusetts rests as a permanent memorial dedicated to the fallen heroes of World War II in Battleship Cove at Fall River, Massachusetts. The battleship participated in 11 naval engagements in both the Pacific and Atlantic theatres of operation without the loss of a single man, and won 11 battle stars for its efforts. The ship was made into a memorial through the joint efforts of inspired citizens and school children. In the background is the Braga Bridge. |
