The Greek people are intensely devout and much of the wealth they have taken from the sea in sponges goes into their church and its adornment. Tons of choice Grecian marble have been used to add to the beauty of the interior of this church, adorned with exquisite chandeliers and with the bishop's throne made of solid marble.
