| T. V. A. project, located near Coal Creek and LaFollette, twenty miles northwest of Knoxville on the Clinch River. The dam is 250 feet high, 2100 feet thick at base; length of crest 1800 feet; forms Norris Lake, area about 80 square miles, with a shoreline in excess of 800 miles and is designed to regulate the flow of water into the Tennessee River Navigation. |
