Connecticut River, White Mountains, NH
Additional Details:
| The Connecticut River, which has aptly been called the Rhine of New England, starts as a rivulet overflowing from the Third Connecticut Lake which lies in the extreme northern portion of New Hampshire, very close to Canada. From there it flows southward through a wealth of scenic grandeur and finally empties into Long Island Sound not very far from New York City. |
