| White Horse Ledge is named because of a light colored spot far up on its rocky sides that resembles a white horse dashing up the cliffs at a mad gallop. When the light is just right this resemblance is very striking and may be seen from quite a distance. At the foot of the ledges lies beautiful Echo Lake whose mirror-like surface reflects the rocky cliffs that tower far above it. |
