The Clock Tower is 316 feet high and 40 feet square. The Clock has four dials each 22½ feet in diameter, the minute hands 14 feet long, the hour hands 9 feet. The hours are struck on the famous bell "Big Ben" which weighs 13¾ tons and whose resonant note is broadcast throughout the World.
