| The "Vacationland" is the new ship joining the present fleet of four ships of the Michigan State Ferries. It is the only ice-crusher and is the most powerful commercial ship on the Great Lakes. It has four diesel engines, generating 10,000 horsepower, is 360 feet long and has a beam of 75 feet. This ship will carry an average load of 150 vehicles and about 650 passengers. |
