Full-length studio portrait of Oberleutnant Bernhard Berger in Austro-Hungarian military uniform. He stands wearing a dark tunic with elaborate braiding across the chest, collar stars indicating rank, breeches, and tall boots with spurs. He wears a stiff military cap with a cockade. Handwritten inscription on verso dates the image to Vienna, November 1915 and references "Train Kader II".
