Stone monument topped with a metal silhouette of a stagecoach, commemorating the November 5, 1871 ambush of the Wickenburg-Ehrenburg stage. The plaque states the attack was by Apache Mohave Indians and lists the victims: John Lanz, Fred W. Loring, P.M. Hamel, W.G. Salmon, Frederick Shoholm, C.S. Adams, and Mollie Sheppard. Erected by the Arizona Highway Department in 1937.
