Grant's Tomb, overlooking the Hudson River from Riverside Drive at 123rd Street, is the Nation's Memorial to General Ulysses S. Grant. The massive sarcophagus holds the bodies of President Grant and his wife. The memorial was completed in 1897. The George Washington Memorial Bridge spans the Hudson River from Fort Washington, New York, to the Palisades, New Jersey, and was completed in 1931.
