Duke University Main Quadrangle Chapel Tower

| Dominating the main approach to the Duke University campus is the 210 foot chapel tower. On the sides of the chapel approach are the Union and the Library. In the tower of the chapel is a 50-bell carillon, and the four-manual chapel organ contains 7,791 pipes. One of the outstanding edifices in America, the chapel was dedicated in 1935. Its stained glass, sculpture, and wood and iron work are notable. |
