Additional Details:
MORNING GLORY POOL is one of the most popular springs in the Upper Geyser Basin, Yellowstone National Park. Though only one natural eruption in 1944 has been recorded, the pool is still considered a geyser as evidenced by the runoff channels leading to the Firehole River. The pool was named after the Morning Glory Flower because of its brilliance, which has now diminished due to the drop in water temperature.
