The Temple, last resting place of Augustus Saint-Gaudens, is a copy of a set used in a 1905 play honoring the sculptor. So pleased was Saint-Gaudens with the set's clean, stately lines that he asked that it be used as a model for his tomb. The replica in marble was erected after the sculptor's death in 1907 and sits in a quiet corner of the property.
