| Well known in Death Valley National Monument are these three old timers: Death Valley Smiley, Miss Stove Pipe with pack, and the Ore Wagon of Stove Pipe Wells. If all could talk, they would fill a library of western history, but since Smiley is the only spokesman all that is forthcoming is a very high book shelf of tall desert tales. |
