| U.S. Army Electronic Proving Ground Headquarters Area, Fort Huachuca, Arizona. The Fort was started in 1877 by Capt. Samuel M. Whiteside, commanding Co. B, U.S. 6th Cavalry, protecting white settlers against marauding Indians under Geronimo and Natchez. It served to train troops for the war with Spain, the Philippine Insurrections, the Pancho Villa affair and World Wars I and II. |
