The Mostyn family, Dorothy and Ken Mostyn with children Melissa, Douglas, and Johnathan, are missionaries to the New Hebrides Islands. The card includes the scripture Isaiah 42:12: 'Let them give glory unto the LORD, and declare his praise in the islands.' The New Hebrides Islands form part of the Pacific region called Melanesia, made up of 12 principal islands and many small ones, located 1,000 miles north-east of the Queensland Coast of Australia. The capital is Vila. The total area is 5,700 square miles. The climate is damp, hot and unhealthful. The islands are fertile, with chief products including bananas, cocoa, coffee, copra, pineapples, timber, and cattle. European governmental and religious influences have put a stop to their tribal wars and cannibalism. Since 1906, the British and French have jointly ruled the islands. The card also states: 'JESUS IS ALSO THEIR ANSWER SO PRAY WITH US AS WE GO TO THEM.
