| This view of Lassen Peak is from the Devastated Area created by the Great Mudflow of May 19, 1915 and the Hot Blast of May 22, 1915. All living things in this area were destroyed by these tremendous events and many years have been required for the young vegetation seen to begin to cover the slopes. |
