Petroglyph Point is one of several ancient volcanos who's cliffs were formed by wave action of old Tule Lake. Here prehistoric Indians carved dots, lines, figures, and symbols for over 1000 feet along the base. Some carvings show similarities with those of the Columbia River and others of the Great Basin.
