| In June each year the Guards Division carries out the ceremony of Trooping the Colour to celebrate the official birthday of The Queen. The scene on Horse Guards Parade, London, provides a colourful spectacle as the scarlet-coated Guardsmen with fixed bayonets, mounted Household Cavalry with plumed helmets and drawn swords, and massed military bands parade in all the glory of full-dress uniforms. |
