| This bay is situated on the western shore of Lough Swilly. Its strand, extending south from Portsalon, is backed at its southern end by precipitous cliffs which terminate the Knockcalla Mountains. North of Portsalon is the beautiful region of Fanad, containing very fine cliff scenery and marine erosion examples, including the Seven Arches rock tunnels. |
