This magnificent monument, erected in 1823 and rebuilt in 1870, towers 185 feet high. It was built in memory of the famous British general, Sir Isaac Brock, who was killed in battle on these heights in the war of 1812, but is equally as interesting to the patriotic American as to the loyal Briton.
