This beautiful $50,000 voiceless tribute from North Carolina to her sons who fought and died at Gettysburg was designed and sculptured by the nationally known Gutzon Borglum. The attractive Monolith and Ledger erected at a cost of $15,000 was made possible by the generosity of the United Daughters of the Confederacy of North Carolina.
