| FAIRMOUNT PARK is located in the northern section of the city and covers an area of 3000 acres. It extends from the Callowhill St. Bridge north along both sides of the Schuylkill River to Wissahickon Creek and follows the latter stream to the north side of Chestnut Hill. The Sunken Gardens are located west of Horticultural Hall and are a favorite spot for visitors during the season. |
