The giant steeple of the Church welcomes all persons to the Center of Chambersburg. Originally called Great Falling Spring and in a few years changed to Chambers Town in 1803 it was incorporated as the Borough of Chambersburg. The Town was burned in 1864 by Confederate Troops.
