| The famous battleship U.S.S. Arizona was sunk by the Japanese on December 7, 1941, resting on the bottom of Pearl Harbor with over 1,000 crew entombed. The U.S.S. Arizona Memorial, dedicated May 30, 1962, is an enclosed bridge spanning the battered hull. The end wall is inscribed with the names of the men who lost their lives. |
