Additional Details:
The scene depicts Saint Bernard of Clairvaux, a Cistercian abbot, seated at a desk, engrossed in writing. To his left, the Virgin Mary, accompanied by two young angels, appears to him. Mary gently places her hand on his, seemingly guiding or inspiring his work. The figures are rendered in a serene, classical style, with a rocky landscape and distant buildings visible in the background.
