The card features a decorative red and white border. The central image area contains a poetic Christmas greeting in a gothic-style font: 'Just a word of greeting, to celebrate the day. by wishing Merry Christmas in the good old-fashioned way.' Above the greeting, a framed illustration shows dark, stylized evergreen trees against a light background, with a prominent red circle, possibly a sun or moon, behind one of the trees. The initial 'J' of the greeting is enlarged and decorated in red and gold.
