The front features a New Year's greeting with colorful maple leaves in shades of red, orange, and green, intertwined with a pink ribbon. A green circular emblem resembling a wax seal with a shamrock or clover design is at the bottom left, next to the partially visible year '1909'. The back is a divided back card with a handwritten message from 'Mary E Suskey' to 'Mrs. Boyer' wishing a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, postmarked December 24, 1908, from Washington D.C. It bears a one-cent Benjamin Franklin stamp.
