The front of the card features an illustration of three golden bells adorned with holly and red berries, framing a serene village landscape that includes a church and houses. Below the illustration, a poetic Christmas greeting reads: 'Xmas change and we with Time But not in ways of FRIENDSHIP A Merry Christmas.' The reverse side is addressed to Miss Edith Wright in Richmond, Maine, and contains a handwritten message from 'Myrt' wishing a happy Christmas and mentioning teaching at home. The card was postmarked in Deer Isle, ME, on December 22, likely 1908 or 1909.
