Merry Christmas Greeting with Bell, Holly, and Poem

| The front features an illustration of a large bell hanging within a wreath of holly and berries. A golden star with "Merry Christmas" text is below the bell. The card has an embossed border with bells and floral designs. A poem reads: "MAY ONLY LIFE'S GOLDEN TREASURES BE STREWN IN YOUR PATH TO-DAY, MAY THE MUSIC OF CHRISTMAS PLEASURES BE SUNG IN YOUR HEART ALWAY." The poem is signed "W.M.S.". The back has a Peoria, IL postmark dated December 23, 1914, and a handwritten message "Xmas Greetings" dated December 25, 1914. It is addressed to Mrs. Jella England at 811 Millman St., Peoria, IL, from Mrs. Borries. |
