Hand-colored illustration of a Christmas scroll featuring a poem, 'A bright and merry Xmas Is my wish to you to-day All that's gladsome be Naught but your portion Happiness hold, sway.' The scroll is adorned with a red ribbon and surrounded by holly leaves and red berries. A holly wreath with 'A MERRY XMAS' is at the top. The card was sent from Pittsburgh, PA, on December 21, 1916, to Mr. Stanley R. Miller in East Pittsburgh, PA, with a message from 'Bud'.
