A decorative card featuring a central oval vignette depicting a tranquil landscape with a river or lake reflecting trees and a distant building on a hill under a bright sky. The vignette is framed by an ornate border. Surrounding the vignette are light blue ribbons tied into bows at the top corners, from which hang long streamers. Garlands and clusters of purple flowers, resembling violets, adorn the top and bottom corners, as well as along the ribbons. The phrase 'Birthday Greetings' is printed in an elegant script at the bottom. The back is a standard divided back, addressed to Miss Dorothy Clark at the School for Deaf & Blind in Colorado Springs, CO. It was sent with 'Best Wishes from Vivian' and features a 1-cent George Washington stamp. The card was printed in Germany.
