Anaheim Stadium, Home of California Angels 1966-present
Additional Details:
| SEATS ALL AROUND — Since its debut Anaheim Stadium's primary attraction played baseball. That changed, however, in 1980 after the facility underwent major expansion to about 69,000 seats, enclosing the entire field. The Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League were lured down the freeway from the Coliseum to Orange County. In the expansion, lower seating beyond baseball's right field fence was designed to roll forward for football. Nevertheless, during the past two decades the Angels have generated many memories—of such favorites as Fregosi, Wright, Tanana, Ryan and the devastating crew of '82, Jackson, Baylor, Lynn, Gritch and Carew. |
