| Built in 1770 Trout Hall was the home of James Allen, the son of William Allen, who was the city's founder, former mayor of Philadelphia and Chief Justice of Pennsylvania. After the Civil War, it became the first home of Muhlenberg College. Restored by the Lehigh County Historical Society, it is the city's oldest home. Hours: Tuesday-Saturday 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Closed January-March. Admission is free. |
