| The Pennsylvania Station covers the entire area from Seventh to Eighth Avenues and 31st to 33rd streets. It is connected with New Jersey by twin tunnels under the Hudson River, 60 feet below the surface, and also connected with Long Island by tunnels under 32nd and 33rd Streets. The station was opened Sept. 8, 1910, and the cost of the entire work was $100,000,000. |
