Interior of the Royal Saloon built for Queen Victoria in 1869 at Wolverton Works. The day compartment features a sofa, easy and occasional chairs, footstools, and a table. The ceiling and sides are heavily quilted in white and blue watered silk, and the floor is covered with thick carpet. This vehicle is preserved at the National Railway Museum, York.
