Admiralty Arch, London with Double-Decker Bus
Additional Details:
| The Arch was designed by Sir Aston Webb, P.R.A., and erected in 1911. The proposal that the Mall should be opened up from Charing Cross had been in the air for about a hundred years. The First Sea Lord resides in the north wing of the Arch. The Mall, starting at the Arch, and passing through St. James's Park, is generally accepted as the official drive to Buckingham Palace, which can be clearly recognised in the distance. |
