Additional Details:
One of Stratford's ancient streets, Chapel Street derives its name from the 15th century Gild Chapel. It has a noteworthy number of fine half-timbered buildings, including The Falcon and Shakespeare Hotels. Near to the Gild Chapel may be seen the foundations of New Place, where Shakespeare died in 1616.
