High Street, Stratford-upon-Avon - Harvard House, Garrick Inn
Additional Details:
| Amongst the wealth of half-timbered buildings in Stratford-upon-Avon are three shown here. On the right is Harvard House, a home of Kathleen Rogers, mother of John Harvard, founder of the famous American University. This house was rebuilt after a fire in 1596, and adjoining is the Garrick Inn, the picturesque frontage of which has been well restored. On the left is the "Old Tudor House", whose half-timbered upper stories project over the pavement. |
