| Standing tall on the north banks of the North Saskatchewan River, the Edmonton skyline is a breathtaking sight during the evening drive along the south bank. The glittering panorama cannot be captured in one view; thus the Parliament Building is superimposed against the downtown scene. Actually situated a little to the west, this seat of the Alberta Government is on the site of the first settlement, Fort Edmonton, built in 1795. |
