Additional Details:
| This is the most northerly of the hilly promontories of County Kerry. Stretching from the low-lying country near Tralee, the peninsula is very mountainous. The western end offers magnificent coastal scenery with Slea Head, beyond which lies the beautiful Blasket Islands. Dingle is an Irish speaking district which every year attracts large numbers of people wishing to learn the language, folk customs, crafts and lore which are still very much alive here. |
