Harvey House Barstow CA BNSF Trains
Additional Details:
| The Harvey House, also known as "Casa Del Desierto," was opened in 1911 by the Fred Harvey Company. It served as a hospitality hub for rail travelers and locals, with famous Harvey Girls providing service. The building was nearly demolished by the Santa Fe Railroad but was saved by local residents. After extensive renovation, it was rededicated in 1999 and now houses the Barstow Chamber of Commerce, Route 66 Museum, and the Western American Train Museum. The image also features BNSF trains. |
