The Denpon Garden, showing seasonal changes in scenery, is said to have been built in the early 17th century by Kobori Enshu, one of the greatest garden designers in Japan. On the top floor of the Five-Storied Pagoda seen in the background is enshrined Buddha's relics present from Sri Lanka.
