Erected by King Henry VII (1485-1509) as a Lady Chapel for St. George's Chapel. The interior was reconstructed by Queen Victoria in 1863-74 as a memorial to the Prince Consort. Besides a cenotaph of the Prince (near altar) it now houses the tombs of Albert Victor, Duke of Clarence (d. 1892), eldest son of King Edward VII by Alfred Gilbert (centre) and of Prince Leopold, Duke of Albany (d. 1884), fourth son of Queen Victoria, by J. E. Boehm (foreground).
