The front text in Italian reads "sottoscrivete! si arrenderanno" (subscribe! they will surrender), an appeal for a national loan. The reverse details the "PRESTITO NAZIONALE" (National Loan) with a 5% net consolidated annuity, issued at L. 86.50 per 100 nominal, with an effective income of 5.78%, exempt from taxes.
